Third Annual Walk ‘N Roll

The 3rd annual TP Trucking & Logistics Walk ‘N Roll Parade of Superheros took place in Central Point, Oregon on October 12th, and what an incredible event it was! Superheroes from Batman, to Spiderman, to the Incredibles, and many more showed up to support the fundraiser for the pediatric oncology services at the Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.
It was a jam packed event with food trucks, raffle prizes, face painting, a photo booth, and of course the parade itself where everyone was able to walk, roll, skip or bike. There were vendor booths set up as well, including Gamerosity, an organization that makes Hero Packages for the childhood cancer community, Southern Oregon Candlelighters, who support families affected by childhood cancer, and the Lady Spartans who have a free coat and costume closet available for the Southern Oregon community. The Grand Marshall of this year’s event was Evelyn, who was diagnosed with cancer a year ago at the age of 6, and now as a 7-year old is cancer free! Ray Later, father to Clint Later, said “The turnout and support for the community is beautiful and overwhelming. It just makes our heart happy with all the love and support we get every year.” It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces, as well as some new ones who came out to support this great cause.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the event, was a sponsor, or donated. We could not have pulled off such a successful event without the support, and we are incredibly grateful to announce that this year the Walk ‘N Roll raised over $13,000 for the pediatric oncology services at the Astante Regional Medical Center! As Jenna Baer, Clint’s sister put it,”I am so thankful to everyone that helped make this year as great as it was and look forward to making it bigger and better in the years to come!” We can’t wait for next year’s Walk ‘N Roll!
